Named the main product that raises blood pressure

According to scientists' findings, consuming just seventeen grams of a certain product per day can increase the likelihood of developing arterial hypertension.
Certified dietitian Elizabeth Shaw believes that one of the key factors affecting blood pressure increase is nutrition. In particular, she draws attention to foods that contribute to the development of hypertension, despite the fact that a balanced diet, on the contrary, can help control this condition or even prevent it. The specialist mentioned this in her article for the information resource "Eatingwell.com".
According to Elizabeth Shaw, the number one product that should be limited is processed meat products. This includes sausages, ham, hot dogs, and other similar products. Studies show that even a small amount - just seventeen grams per day - can significantly increase the risk of developing arterial hypertension. This is due to the high sodium content, low dietary fiber levels, and the presence of preservatives that negatively affect the vascular system.
As a preventive measure against high blood pressure, the dietitian recommends including more foods rich in potassium, calcium, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids in the daily diet. Among such products are fruits, vegetables, fat-free or low-fat dairy products, whole grain products, and fatty fish varieties. All of these help strengthen the cardiovascular system and maintain normal blood pressure.
Additionally, Elizabeth Shaw emphasizes the importance of consuming sufficient amounts of clean water. As another specialist - dietitian Drew Hemler explains, water is necessary to maintain a stable volume of circulating blood and helps the body get rid of excess sodium, which, in turn, helps reduce blood pressure.
