State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to acquire the "Gama Enerji İç Anadolu" power plant (870 MW), located in Turkey, for $225 million.

As Report informs, this was announced by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov during his speech at the 12th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Commission.

He reported that the Sale and Purchase Agreement for this facility will be signed on December 23 at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkish Investment Forum.

Asadov noted that SOCAR will become the owner of a 100% stake in the mentioned power plant.
