A sentence has been handed down to the former Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, who was accused of committing especially grave crimes against statehood. Although the "grey cardinal" was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, given his health condition and age, the sentence was imposed as a suspended one.
As reported by Qafqazinfo, the verdict of the Baku Court on Grave Crimes also addressed the issue of stripping the defendant of his state awards.
Thus, the court issued a special ruling to submit a motion for consideration of the question of stripping Ramiz Mehdiyev of all his state awards.
