Conor McGregor got married after 17 years of relationship

37-year-old Conor McGregor and his beloved Dee Devlin tied the knot in the Vatican, sharing images on social media from the ceremonial event, which took place on December 12.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Us Weekly, the Irish UFC fighter noted that for their family, deeply devoted to faith, the Vatican has always been a special place. According to McGregor, it was faith that led him to this day, and the couple had cherished the idea of a Vatican wedding for many years. He also reminded that in 2021 they baptized their son Rian there, and expressed gratitude for permission to hold the ceremony in such a holy place.

According to the athlete, millions of dollars were spent on organizing the wedding - McGregor wanted to arrange a large-scale celebration for friends and relatives who specially flew in from Ireland. Dee Devlin was responsible for the design, aesthetics, and entertainment, while Conor took care of choosing the locations and logistics.

After the ceremony at the Church of St. Stephen of the Abyssinians - the oldest church in the Vatican - the newlyweds left the temple in a white Rolls-Royce and headed to Castello di Tor Crescenza castle, where the wedding banquet was held. The couple's first dance took place to the song Dreamlover by Mariah Carey performed live by Sweet Love - a female band from Greenback Records, a label owned by McGregor.

As a reminder, Conor McGregor and Dee Devlin met back in 2008 and are raising four children: Conor Jack (8 years old), Croia (6 years old), Rian (4 years old), and Mac (2 years old).
