Arzu Aliyeva took part in the presentation of the documentary "Harmony"
On December 21, the presentation of the documentary film "Harmony", reflecting the traditions of coexistence and tolerance between representatives of various religions in Azerbaijan, took place at the "Nizami" cinema center. The film is a joint project of the State Committee on Religious Formations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Spiritual Values Promotion Foundation and Baku Media Center.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Arzu Aliyeva, the head of Baku Media Center, participated in the film presentation.
First, the film was screened. Then, the Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Formations, Ramin Mammadov, shared his opinion about the picture. He noted that through the example of three friends representing different religions, the film shows the attitude of the Azerbaijani people toward various faiths and nations:
"For centuries and millennia in this geography, the Azerbaijani people have preserved such magnificent qualities as multicultural values, respect for each other, living shoulder to shoulder, and passing traditions to the next generations. Today in Azerbaijan, representatives of different religions live, work, and create together. Of course, this is one of the brightest examples of the wisdom of the Azerbaijani people."
The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that as a result of the policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, multicultural values remained not just as traditions of the Azerbaijani people. He also brought to attention that as a result of the joint efforts of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, all religious objects are being restored in the territories liberated from occupation.
The director and one of the screenwriters, Fuad Mammadzade, noted that through the images of the main heroines - Nigar, Jamila, and Sofia - the authors wanted to convey a reality that is natural for Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan is one of the rare countries in the world where Muslims, Jews, and Christians live together as one family. Through these women, we want to send a message that this is indeed possible," he said.
It should be noted that the documentary film produced by Baku Media Center was prepared to promote interfaith harmony and the conditions created for the coexistence of believers of different confessions. The film's general producer is Arzu Aliyeva, producer - Orman Aliyev, director - Fuad Mammadzade, screenwriters - Fuad Mammadzade and Ramil Alekberov, cinematographer - Ziya Babayev, composer - Hafiz Ibrahimli.
The filming took place at religious places of worship in various regions of Azerbaijan, as well as at the "Color of Differences" festival, held in Baku on November 5 to promote and encourage the exemplary atmosphere of tolerance and multiculturalism, interfaith harmony, solidarity, cultural diversity, and coexistence values formed in our country.
The film highlights the tolerant atmosphere in our country through the daily lives and relationships of three friends of different faiths. Their lifestyle, family relationships, religious ceremonies, and friendship convey to the viewers the atmosphere of mutual understanding, trust, and cultural diversity that reigns in Azerbaijan.
The family life, religious ceremonies, and long-term relationships of the heroines demonstrate that they live in cultural diversity and peace. The documentary emphasizes the essence of our country's state policy aimed at promoting tolerance, mutual respect, and multicultural values in society, as well as preserving and developing interfaith harmony.
Preserving the history of Azerbaijan and conveying the truth as it is has been of great importance for Baku Media Center since its foundation. During this time, the Center has produced films that have generated wide public interest, such as "Target - Baku", "Heritage", "Tagiyev", "The Last Session", "Lifelong Mission", "We", and "Shusha, You Are Free!", reflecting the most diverse historical periods of our country. The documentary film "Harmony", following the documentary "Under One Sun", is a cinematic work reflecting the manifestations of multicultural tradition in the everyday life of Azerbaijan through real human stories.
