Iran introduces new system for vessel passage through the Strait of Hormuz
Iranian authorities are introducing a new mechanism for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
This was reported by the state television of the Islamic Republic.
According to the report, vessels intending to pass through the Strait of Hormuz must now, after notifying the Iranian authorities, receive an electronic message from them containing information about the rules of navigation through this route. Upon accepting the new rules set by the Iranian side, vessels receive transit permission to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
It is noted that such permissions will be issued by a new governing authority.
