Teacher Ayla Kara, who shielded her students during an armed attack on a school in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaraş, has passed away.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Ayla Kara shielded her students with her own body from the armed attacker, sustaining extremely severe injuries. The teacher was taken to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her — she died in the medical facility.

As a reminder, the day before, 9 people were killed and 14 others were injured in an armed attack on a school in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. Among the dead were one teacher and eight students.
