Representatives of SOCAR familiarized themselves with the operations at the "Neptune" drilling rig

Vice Presidents of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Babek Huseynov, Arzu Javadova, Ziba Mustafayeva, and Ismayil Zargarli visited the jack-up drilling rig "Neptune," operating under the management of Umid Babek Operating Company (UBOC).

According to SOCAR, the delegation familiarized themselves with the work on the subsea appraisal well U-01A at the Umid field, as well as with the technical capabilities of the rig and the real-time drilling process.

It was noted that for the first time in the Caspian region, a deepwater subsea appraisal well was drilled using a jack-up rig as part of the project. The deepest well at the Umid field was completed at a depth of 6,972 meters.

It was particularly emphasized that the project was implemented in accordance with high safety standards, ahead of schedule, and efficiently. Additionally, it was noted that the operations carried out on the "Neptune" drilling rig are of great importance in terms of expanding the technological capabilities of the country's oil and gas industry.
