A representative of the Main Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mubariz Agayev told BAKU.WS that the minimum administrative fine is 10 manats and is applied for certain minor violations of the rules:

"The maximum administrative fine is 12 thousand manats and is provided for more serious cases depending on the nature of the violation committed.

According to the Code of Administrative Offenses, depending on the severity of the violation, decisions are also made to remove the vehicle from operation, and a judge may decide to apply administrative arrest as an administrative penalty or restrict the right to drive a vehicle."
