American rapper committed suicide after his mother's death

American rapper Young Noble (real name Rufus Lee Cooper III) tragically passed away on the morning of July 4, committing suicide in his home in Atlanta, Georgia. The musician was 47 years old, as reported by The Voice.

The tragedy was announced by E.D.I. Mean, a member of the Outlawz group and cousin of legendary Tupac Shakur, in an emotional social media post: "Today I received the most terrible and unexpected news one could imagine. My brother and partner, with whom we worked for more than 30 years, took his own life. Rest in peace, Rufus Young Noble Cooper. Mental disorder is a real battle that many people face. Take care of your loved ones."

Young Noble held a special place in hip-hop history as the last member of the Outlawz group, personally chosen by Tupac Shakur shortly before the tragic death of the rap legend in 1996. This circumstance made him an important link to the legacy of one of the greatest artists in the history of the genre.

Rufus Cooper's life journey was full of trials from the very beginning. He was born on March 31, 1978, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, in extremely difficult family circumstances. His mother suffered from drug addiction, and he never saw his father. His fate changed when the young man moved to New Jersey, where he met rapper Kadafi and joined the group The Plague, receiving his famous pseudonym Young Noble. The turning point in his career was joining the Outlawz in 1996.

During his musical career, Young Noble released four solo albums, which strengthened his reputation in the hip-hop community. In addition to his performance activities, he proved himself as an entrepreneur, founding the production company Noble Justice Productions.

The rapper's last year of life was overshadowed by personal tragedy. In the spring of 2024, his mother Ellen Ferr was diagnosed with "stage three cancer." The disease progressed rapidly, and in July of the same year, the woman died at the age of 78. This loss likely had a strong impact on the artist's psychological state.
