Ali Shamkhani, advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, has passed away

Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Shamkhani, who was severely wounded as a result of Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic, has died.

This was reported by the Ynetnews agency.

Note that this morning Shamkhani was severely wounded during an attack on his residence and was taken to a hospital in Tehran.

Recall that on the night of June 13, Israel launched strikes on a number of Iranian nuclear facilities and the capital Tehran. Several high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists are presumed dead.
