100-year-old man named an unexpected reason for his longevity

A resident of the Australian state of Victoria, Kevin Allen, celebrated his 100th birthday by sharing an amazing secret to a long life. According to Mirage News, the man of the hour believes that his love for tea helped him reach such a venerable age.
On June 19, Kevin Allen from the town of St. Arnaud reached his centennial milestone. Notably, he still lives in his own home with his 94-year-old wife Ruby, which they purchased 75 years ago.
The centenarian's biography is impressive: at the age of 17, he joined the Australian Air Force and served for three years during World War II, visiting New Guinea and Borneo Island. Kevin admitted that he never consumed alcohol and credits his longevity to black tea. "I never drank beer or anything like that. But I love my black tea. I can drink ten cups a day. Sometimes with cookies," shared the birthday celebrant.
Kevin met his future wife at a cinema where Ruby's sister worked. Their first meeting also involved tea drinking. Afterward, Allen walked the girl home, where he received an unexpected reception from her father: "Better get out of here, boy."
Despite this, on March 30, 1949, the couple got married and have been living happily together to this day. Over the years, the Allen family has grown significantly: they have two daughters, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In his youth, Kevin played football for the local team and worked at a flour mill for 28 years.
Even at such an advanced age, Allen remains active, although he admits that he now needs some help with household matters. He hired an assistant to mow the lawn, and a friend supplies him with firewood for the fireplace. On his birthday, not only family and friends came to congratulate Kevin, but also officials - the head of the district and a representative of the city council.
