Explosion near Zhytomyr: two people killed, 15 injured

Two powerful explosions thundered on the highway near Ukrainian Zhytomyr, thick smoke rose over the area.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "RBC-Ukraine", this was announced by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Bunechko.

"Two explosions occurred in the settlement of Berezyna near Zhytomyr on the M-06 highway. We can confirm two deaths, 15 people were injured," Bunechko noted.

He clarified that private homes were also damaged as a result of the explosion. An operational headquarters was deployed at the scene of the incident. All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims. Minimal passage was ensured along the highway.
