Today Azerbaijan is a country that deserves great respect on the international stage.

As reported by BAKU.WS, President Ilham Aliyev stated this while speaking at the VIII congress of the "New Azerbaijan" party.

The head of state emphasized that many well-known experts and analysts already classify Azerbaijan as a middle power. "There are many parameters for this. We have fully ensured economic independence and today we are a highly authoritative member of the international community. Our destiny is in our own hands," the President added.
