Messi and Ronaldo could play for the same team in Tevez's farewell match

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will play for the same team in the farewell match of Boca Juniors forward Carlos Tevez.

As reported by GOAL, the Argentine footballer himself announced this.

The game is scheduled for December 2026 and is set to take place at La Bombonera stadium in Buenos Aires.

"I always dreamed of seeing Cristiano and Leo on the same team. They are the two greatest players of all time. I contacted them, especially Cristiano. I told him: 'Cristiano, I want you and Leo to play on the same team in my farewell match. So that the whole world can once and for all see this magic.' He said he would be there. Convincing Leo wasn't difficult either. They both gave me their consent. I'm looking forward to it. This match will be very emotional," Tevez said.

Tevez played alongside Ronaldo at Manchester United, and with Messi for the Argentina national team. Currently, Ronaldo plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr, while Messi plays for American club Inter Miami.
