Turkish military aircraft crashes near Georgia-Azerbaijan border: details about the crash known
A Turkish military aircraft of the C-130 type disappeared from Georgia's Air Navigation Service (GASA) radars several minutes after crossing into Georgian territory without sending a distress signal.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to GASA, communication with the aircraft was suddenly lost, and search and rescue operations were immediately initiated following the incident in accordance with established protocols.
"Several minutes after crossing into Georgian territory, the Turkish C-130 aircraft disappeared from our radars without sending a distress signal. After the incident, Georgia's Air Navigation Service began implementing the prescribed search and rescue measures," - the statement says.
Flight tracking websites show that the C-130 with tail number TUAF543, which departed from Ganja in Azerbaijan, disappeared from radars over Georgian airspace shortly after takeoff. Videos distributed on social media show the moment the aircraft crashed in the Georgian region of Rustavi.

A C-130 military transport aircraft of the Turkish Armed Forces crashed on Georgian territory, 5 km from the border with Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
"On November 11 of this year, a Turkish cargo aircraft crashed in Sighnaghi municipality, approximately 5 km from the state border of Georgia," - the statement says.
The country's Ministry of Internal Affairs has also begun investigating the circumstances of the air crash. According to information from the Georgian department, investigative actions are being conducted under part 4 of article 275 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. This article provides for liability for violation of traffic rules or operation of air transport resulting in the death of a person.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs assured the public that detailed information about the incident will be provided gradually as the investigation progresses.
Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that a C-130 aircraft of the Turkish Armed Forces, which departed from Azerbaijan, crashed in Georgia. According to the department, search and rescue operations have begun in coordination with Georgian authorities. Information about the causes of the emergency and the number of military personnel on board has not yet been received.
