The People's Artist died on stage during a concert in front of her daughter

The incident occurred on February 11 at the Youth Palace in Vladikavkaz during the "Dances of the Caucasus" concert. Honored artist of the republic Elza Datieva passed away right during the performance of the "Alan" dance group.

The tragedy unfolded before the audience's eyes when the 63-year-old accordion player, while accompanying the dancers, suddenly lost consciousness. Elza Datieva's daughter was also present in the hall at that time. Artistic director Zelimkhan Kozaev immediately stopped the performance, but unfortunately, the medical personnel who arrived could not save the artist.

"She worked in the ensemble for about 40 years, 37-38 years. She was an excellent, professional leader," - shared the artist's colleagues.

The death of the people's artist was officially announced by the republic's Minister of Culture Soslan Fidarov, who was present at the concert.

According to preliminary data, Elza Mairbekovna had been battling cancer and had heart problems.
