Leyla Aliyeva participated in the opening of an exhibition of Azerbaijani carpets in the Vatican

On September 29, the Vatican hosted the opening ceremony of an exhibition of Azerbaijani carpets dedicated to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, within the framework of the "Heavenly Religions" project.

As reported by Azertaj, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva attended the event.

Secretary General of the Governorate of Vatican City State Raffaella Petrini noted in her speech that culture and memory are the main pillars of peace.

"The exhibition is designed to create an opportunity for dialogue between representatives of various religions, peoples, cultures, and traditions. It is also a tribute to Azerbaijan, where the roots of carpet weaving are deeply connected with the country's traditions. The carpets presented here today are not only valuable examples created by highly skilled artisans but also an embodiment of identity and humanity," she noted.
