In Kazakhstan, 19 military personnel were swept out to sea during exercises; a government commission has been established

A government commission has been established in Kazakhstan to investigate the causes of the deaths of military personnel during exercises in the Mangystau region.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced on the website of the Government of Kazakhstan.

The commission includes the Minister of Defense, the akim (mayor) of the Mangystau region, representatives of the ministries of labor and social protection, emergency situations, health, and transport, the Chief Military Prosecutor, as well as representatives of the Border Service.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov instructed the chairman of the commission - Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev - to proceed to the site of the emergency and begin comprehensive investigation into the causes of the deaths of the military personnel.

In addition, the commission has been tasked with providing assistance to the families of the deceased.
