Azerbaijan and Belarus signed a number of documents

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the development of strategic partnership between the two countries with his Belarusian counterpart Maxim Ryzhenkov on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

This was reported on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's page on the social network X.

The parties emphasized the important role of high-level political dialogue and contacts between the leaders of both countries in strengthening bilateral ties, as well as the key role of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in developing trade and economic cooperation.

Special emphasis was placed on close coordination within the framework of the UN, CIS, Non-Aligned Movement, and other multilateral platforms.

Following the bilateral negotiations, the ministers signed the "Cooperation Plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for 2027–2028."

The parties then signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Consular Matters between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus."

These documents will further strengthen the institutional foundation of our partnership and elevate bilateral coordination to a higher level in the years ahead.
