Ilham Aliyev sent congratulations to the King of Saudi Arabia

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion of September 23 - the Kingdom Foundation Day.

As reported by Azertag, the text of the message reads:

"Your Majesty,

Dear Brother,

I am pleased to convey to You, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, and through You to Your entire people, the warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of September 23 - the Kingdom Foundation Day.

We are gratified by the dynamic and progressive development of interstate relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, based on shared spiritual values, religious and cultural roots, and traditional friendship and brotherhood.

We attach great importance to the comprehensive development of our relations based on mutual trust and support. Today, our cooperation in a number of areas serves the interests of our countries and peoples, bringing them closer together. Our partnership with a leading company of Your country – ACWA Power – in the field of energy, including alternative and renewable energy, which is one of the priority areas of our cooperation, is expanding and acquiring new substance with each passing year.
