It became known what product Armenia has started exporting to Azerbaijan

Armenia has started exporting aluminum foil to Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Sputnik Armenia, this was stated to journalists at a briefing after a government meeting by Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.

The minister had difficulty naming the exact volumes of shipments but promised to report on this later.

When asked whether shipments of other goods from Armenia to Azerbaijan are expected, Papoyan replied: "We'll see."

Earlier, Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Ararat Mirzoyan stated in an interview with Public Television that in the coming days it would become known about purchases of goods from Armenian producers by Azerbaijani companies. The minister did not provide details at that time.

Since the end of 2025, shipments of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia have begun. According to Azerbaijani media, approximately 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and 5,000 tons of gasoline have been delivered to date.

In addition, Russian grain and other goods have begun to arrive in Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan. To date, 49,000 tons of wheat, 9,000 tons of fertilizers, slightly more than 1,100 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum blanks for processing, and slightly more than 1,100 tons of coal have been delivered via this route.

As for exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan, it was previously reported that flowers had been shipped for a symbolic amount of less than $1,000. At the same time, Armenia's customs statistics for the first half of 2026 show zero export volume to Azerbaijan.
