Citizens of Azerbaijan will be able to visit one more country without a visa

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Álvarez Gil, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in a publication by the Azerbaijani diplomatic agency on the social network X.

According to the information, the meeting discussed the prospects for developing relations between Azerbaijan and the Dominican Republic. The parties emphasized the importance of institutionalizing political dialogue between the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries.

The ministers exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest. Special attention was paid to the prospects for further developing coordination within the framework of international organizations.

Following the meeting, an Agreement was signed between the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Dominican Republic on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports.

In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic on the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations.

It was noted that the new documents will contribute to expanding the institutional framework of cooperation between the two countries and further developing Azerbaijani-Dominican relations.
