A strong earthquake occurred in Turkey

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in eastern Turkey.

This was reported by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

According to its data, the epicenter of the tremors was located 24 km northwest of the city of Şanlıurfa, which has a population of approximately 449 thousand people. The focal depth was 10 km.

No reports of casualties or damage have been received.
