Gold Has Become Cheaper in Azerbaijan: Which Purity Grade Do Buyers Prefer

Gold prices have decreased in Azerbaijan. Sellers note that compared to previous months, the price of the precious metal on the local market has dropped. They cite the decline in gold prices on the global market as the reason.

According to sellers, in March-April the selling price of gold was around 220-230 manats per gram, whereas now Turkish gold is being sold at 165-170 manats per gram. The price of Italian 750-karat gold is 220-230 manats per gram and depending on the design can reach 250 manats.

The highest demand currently is for 585-karat gold, as it fits the budget of most buyers.

One of the sellers noted that about 10 days ago Turkish gold was being sold at 168 manats per gram, and now its price is around 163 manats. Thus, the decrease amounts to 4-5 manats per gram. According to him, the price of Russian gold has dropped by approximately 8 manats per gram, and Italian gold by 10-15 manats.

It should be noted that the price of gold on the global market has fallen below 4,250 dollars per troy ounce for the first time in the last month and a half.
