Israel Defense Forces: Israeli Air Force struck Iran
Israeli army servicemembers struck a petrochemical complex in the Iranian city of Bandar Mahshahr in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
This was stated in the Israeli army's post on the social network X.
"Recently, the Israeli Air Force struck several targets at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr in southwestern Iran," the statement said.
Iran's Fars news agency confirmed the strike on the facility and reported "partial damage."
The IDF also confirmed that missiles were launched from Iranian territory toward the territory of the State of Israel. It was noted that defense systems are operating to intercept the threat. Citizens are urged to take shelter.
As a reminder, the situation in the Middle East escalated sharply after IDF strikes on Beirut on June 7. Iran then launched a series of ballistic missiles at Israel. Tel Aviv responded in kind and attacked targets on the territory of the Islamic Republic.
