Iranian authorities have decided to close the airspace in the western part of the country until further notice for security reasons.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced by the representative of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, Majid Akhvan.

"After assessing the security situation and publishing a NOTAM, the airspace in the west of the country has been closed indefinitely," he noted.

Akhvan urged Iranian residents not to go to airports unless necessary and to follow flight information through the media.

As a reminder, Iran has once again launched a missile strike on Israel for the first time since the ceasefire.
