Baku to Host 2nd U.S. World Artificial Intelligence Week
This year, the Azerbaijani capital will host the II World AI Week of the United States.
As Report informs, this was announced at the first session of the Azerbaijan-U.S. Economic Dialogue held in Baku.
The session was organized by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the U.S. Department of State within the framework of Baku Energy Week in accordance with the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
With the participation of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs Caleb Orr, the Dialogue Protocol was signed, as well as a number of documents in the field of creating digital infrastructure in Azerbaijan, technology transfer, and implementation of efficient industrial solutions.
Within the framework of the First Economic Dialogue, panel sessions were held on regional connectivity, trade and transit, energy security, investments, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure. The first session discussed the TRIPP route, the Middle Corridor, expansion of regional logistics capabilities, Azerbaijan's investor-friendly business climate, as well as new opportunities for American companies arising from the country's growing ties with Europe and Central Asia.
At the energy security session, cooperation opportunities in the development of the Southern Gas Corridor and increasing energy production were examined. Partnership issues in the area of supply chain diversification, including critical minerals, were also discussed.
During the discussions on artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, information on high-tech solutions from the United States was presented. Issues of cooperation in the field of data centers, implementation of AI technologies, development of the regulatory framework, and partnership prospects in this area were examined.
