In Venezuela, a 3-year-old boy was rescued from the rubble 6 days after the earthquake
Six days after the devastating earthquake in Venezuela, a 3-year-old boy was pulled alive from the rubble — an event that shook the entire country.
As reported by BAKU.WS, a search and rescue team from Jordan discovered and rescued the child named Kleiber Moran, who was trapped under the debris of a collapsed building in La Guaira state.
Venezuela's interim head of state Delcy Rodriguez confirmed the rescue of the child, calling it "a great ray of hope for our people."
According to the Jordan Civil Defence Service, the boy received first aid directly at the scene. It was noted that the child's overall health condition is assessed as satisfactory, and his vital signs are within normal range.
The Speaker of the Venezuelan Parliament, Jorge Rodriguez, reported that Kleiber Moran's treatment is continuing at one of the hospitals in the capital, Caracas.
Experts emphasize that the critical 72-hour period, during which the chances of survival under rubble are at their highest, had long expired. Nevertheless, this rescue operation breathed new hope into the ongoing search efforts.
As search and rescue operations continue across the country, thousands of families await news about the fate of their loved ones who remain under the debris. At the same time, funerals are being held for those whose bodies have already been recovered.
