Leyla Aliyeva met in Sheki with children of the "Orphanage" social services institution

On June 30, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited the social services institution "Children's Home" №6 in Sheki.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Leyla Aliyeva watched an artistic program performed with the participation of children at the institution. Gifts were also presented to the children, and photographs were taken with them.

It should be noted that the institution, which began operating in 1936 as Children's Home №2, continued its activities from 1988 under the name Sheki Mixed-Type Children's Home. In 2018, on the initiative of the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation headed by her, a newly constructed building of the institution was put into operation.

The institution houses children deprived of parental care.

To ensure the social adaptation of the children, social rehabilitation activities are carried out here, and various services are provided for the effective organization of their leisure time. Children in the institution are provided with social and domestic, social and psychological, medical and social, social and pedagogical, and social and legal services.
