Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of Somalia and the Governor General of Canada

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

As AZERTAG reports, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and your entire people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Azerbaijan-Somalia relations, based on friendship and mutual respect, are developing and expanding. I believe that we will continue our joint efforts to strengthen our interstate relations, fully utilize the potential for cooperation, and expand collaboration.

On this momentous day, I extend my best wishes to you and wish your friendly people lasting peace and prosperity."

Ilham Aliyev also congratulated the Governor General of Canada Louise Arbour.

The text of the letter states:

"Dear Madam Governor General,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and your entire people on the occasion of Canada Day.

I believe that in the interests of our peoples, relations between Azerbaijan and Canada will continue to develop in the spirit of mutual respect, friendship, and cooperation.
