Hotel collapses in Venezuela due to earthquake with deportees from the US inside
Hotel housing Venezuelans deported from the US collapsed in Venezuela during earthquake.

According to its reports, 146 deportees were on board a plane that arrived from the US on the morning of June 24. More than 100 of them were housed in a hotel located 30 km from Caracas in the state of La Guaira. That same evening, an earthquake struck Venezuela. As several relatives of the people staying at the hotel told ABC, some of them died, while there are also survivors and missing persons.
It should be recalled that the earthquake in Venezuela occurred on the evening of June 24. Two series of tremors with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 were recorded approximately 40 seconds apart. Their epicenters were located 10 km from each other in the state of Yaracuy. Following the earthquake, 214 aftershocks occurred.
According to the latest official data, 1,719 people died, 5,034 people were injured, and the total number of those affected who were registered at hospitals, field hospitals, and triage points stands at 22,616.
