Emin Amrullayev: Digitalization of education is envisaged
Work is underway to provide educational institutions with a unified internet network, implement the "Digital School" project, digitize data across education levels, and convert documents in this field to electronic format. The next stage envisions the digitization of the learning process itself.
This was stated by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev at the first meeting of the Council for Digital Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During his speech, the minister provided detailed information to First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on the work done to digitize education in the country and future plans.
E. Amrullayev noted that one of the key priorities at present is the electronic conversion of databases at all levels of the education system. According to him, the process of fully converting educational documentation to digital format, as well as connecting schools to a unified internet network, is continuing at an accelerated pace.
Speaking about projects being implemented to prepare students for modern challenges, the minister emphasized the importance of the "Digital Skills" and "STEAM Azerbaijan" programs.
"Our goal is to ensure the formation of quality human capital in this field, along with developing students' digital skills," he added.
E. Amrullayev also stated that at the next stage, it is planned to begin digitizing the educational process itself, which, according to him, will significantly increase the efficiency of the country's education system.
