Expanded powers of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan

Amendments have been made to the decree "On the delimitation of powers of subjects of operational-investigative activities in conducting operational-investigative measures."

As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding decree was signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, from now on, operational-investigative activities in the field of ensuring the security of persons under protection, as well as strategic facilities guarded by the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will be carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan.
