Archbishop Ajapahyan refused to run for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia
Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, detained in Armenia, stated that he does not want to see his name in the lists of candidates for the prime minister of the republic after opposition parties of the country proposed to nominate him for this position.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this was announced by the archbishop's lawyer Ara Zohrabyan.
"I am completely satisfied with my service as a spiritual person, therefore I ask not to use my name in the list of candidates for the post of prime minister," the statement of the archbishop published by the lawyer says.
