Media: Iranian delegation refused joint photos and handshakes with Americans

Members of the Iranian delegation at the negotiations with the United States in Switzerland refused to participate in a joint photo session and handshake ceremony with the Americans before the start of the meeting.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Tasnim agency.

According to the information, the organizers of the negotiations and U.S. representatives had planned to hold a handshake ceremony before the start of the four-party meeting, but the Iranian delegation refused to take part in it.

"A source close to the negotiating team added that due to the Iranian delegation's refusal to participate in this ceremony, the live broadcast and photo session took place without Iranian officials," the report stated.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced the beginning of negotiations and the first session of the high-level committee with the participation of representatives from the United States, Iran, and Pakistan in Switzerland.
