Azerbaijani boxer wins gold at World Cup in China
Azerbaijani boxer Saidjamshed Jafarov became the winner of the World Cup held in the Chinese city of Guiyang.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the athlete, competing in the weight category up to 75 kg, faced Rami Kiwan from Bulgaria in the final bout.
Jafarov confidently won all three rounds and claimed victory with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28), winning the gold medal of the tournament.
Thus, the Azerbaijani national team finished the second ranking tournament of the year, in which 300 athletes from 40 countries participated, with one gold and two bronze medals.
As a reminder, bronze medals were earlier won by Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) and Alfonso Dominguez (90 kg).
