The Main Mistake at the New Year's Table Revealed
Nutritionists Elena Perez and Maria Hernandez Alcala warned that one should not sit down at the New Year's table on an empty stomach. They named this main mistake during the holiday in a conversation with Hola magazine.
According to the doctors, if a person has been starving all day before celebrating the New Year, they will consume food quickly and less consciously at the table. This will lead to digestive problems, including bloating and feelings of heaviness, the specialists emphasized.
Perez and Alcala added that fasting can provoke other negative consequences. The nutritionists included anxiety, increased cravings for unhealthy food, and the risk of developing an unhealthy relationship with food in general among these consequences.
"It is recommended to maintain a balanced diet throughout the day so that in the evening you can enjoy food without overeating," they added.
