Another road in Azerbaijan will become toll-based
An 81.3 km section of the recently constructed Ahmadbeyli - Fuzuli - Shusha highway has been designated as a toll road.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
According to the document, based on the "First State Program of the Great Return to the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan from occupation," approved by Decree No. 3587 of the President of Azerbaijan dated November 16, 2022, the 81.3 km section of the 81.7 km Ahmadbeyli - Fuzuli - Shusha highway has been designated as a toll road.
The starting and ending points of the toll highway have been determined:
- starting point: the 157th km of the M-6 Hajigabul - Bahramtapa - Minjivan highway;
- ending point: the 10.5th km of the Ahmadbeyli - Fuzuli - Shusha highway (Victory Road).
The Tariff (Price) Council will approve the toll rates for vehicles using the toll road, taking into account the category of the highway.
It should be noted that the country's first toll road, Baku - Guba - state border with the Russian Federation, was put into operation on October 20, 2023.
