Monkeypox spread has been recorded in Russia
Two more new cases of monkeypox infection have been identified in the Moscow region, raising additional concerns among healthcare professionals.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel Mash, two residents of the city of Mytishchi, aged 43 and 45, experienced a sharp rise in body temperature to nearly 39 degrees. The very next day, they developed characteristic skin rashes.
According to the source, both patients were unable to determine where exactly they could have contracted the virus, as they had not traveled outside the country recently. According to international experts, this may indicate local transmission of the infection within the region.
Previously, as specified, three similar cases of the disease had already been registered in the Moscow region, which may indicate a gradual spread of the virus.
