European Union extended sanctions against Iran
The EU has extended sanctions against Iran imposed for human rights violations by one year.
As reported by TASS, this was stated in a declaration by the EU Council.
"The EU Council has decided to extend the restrictive measures until April 13, 2027," the document says.
The sanctions have been imposed against 262 individuals, primarily security officials, government officials, employees of the penitentiary and judicial systems, as well as 53 organizations. The restrictions for individuals include a ban on entry into the EU and the freezing of assets in European banks, while for legal entities they include asset freezes and a ban on any contacts with them by European businesses.
