As the war between Iran and the US-Israel coalition drags on, Tehran, subjected to heavy strikes and suffering serious losses, alongside direct military resistance, seeks to leverage additional tools of influence and pressure for self-defense.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a new analytical segment on the YouTube channel "Free Iran."

The first of these was the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which so far has been producing results consistent with the Iranian leadership's objectives in terms of global economic consequences.

However, in recent days, as American and Israeli attacks on Iranian territory have become even more fierce, official Tehran has placed on the agenda the question of deploying yet another instrument of pressure on the opposing side and the international community as a whole. This concerns discussions regarding Iran's withdrawal from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

Thus, two days ago, the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasizing the seriousness of including this issue on Iran's political agenda, wrote: "A number of relevant Iranian bodies, including the parliament, are considering the urgent withdrawal of the country from the NPT. It is reported that a complete conviction has formed in Iran that there are no grounds whatsoever for remaining in the NPT.

Yesterday, one of the well-known members of the Iranian parliament, member of the Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaoddin Boroujerdi, stated in an interview with state television: "The time has come for Iran to withdraw from the NPT. We do not intend to build an atomic bomb. However, it is impossible to simultaneously follow the rules of the game and be subjected to bombardment."
