The Houthis attacked the port of Mocha with missiles, drones, and boats

Yemeni Houthi rebels from the "Ansar Allah" movement launched a massive strike on the port of Mocha on the Red Sea coast, resulting in a fire breaking out on the facility's territory.

As reported by Al Arabiya, the Houthis used missiles, drones, and boats to attack the port and civilian facilities on Yemen's western coast.

According to the TV channel's military source, government forces managed to shoot down 15 of the 44 launched drones.

In addition, the Houthis attempted to attack an oil tanker in the area of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Six explosive-laden boats were deployed in the attack, three of which were intercepted by government forces.

It is reported that eight "Ansar Allah" fighters were eliminated during the repulsion of the attack off the coast of the Wahja district.

In response, government troops launched dozens of drone strikes on Houthi positions along the country's western coast. Artillery shelling of rebel targets west of the city of Taiz is also ongoing.

It should be recalled that the confrontation between the Saudi Arabia-backed government forces and the Houthis in Yemen has been ongoing since August 2014.
