China appealed to Israel and the US

The United States and Israel must stop attacking nuclear power plants on the territory of Iran.

As reported by TASS, this was stated by the official spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning.

"An armed attack on peaceful facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) contradicts the purposes of the UN Charter, the norms of international law, and the IAEA Statute, seriously damages the authority of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, undermines efforts to maintain the relevant international system, and may have serious consequences for peace, security, and stability in the region," she emphasized at a briefing.

As the Chinese diplomat clarified, Beijing "firmly opposes" the strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran's nuclear power plants and calls for a peaceful resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means. She pointed to the need to maintain composure and restraint to avoid further escalation.

"China expresses concern over the negative consequences of the military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel. China is ready, together with all parties, to continue adhering to an objective and impartial position, to promote reconciliation and negotiations, to support the resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue through dialogue and negotiations, to effectively safeguard the international nuclear non-proliferation system, and to promote peace and stability in the Middle East," Mao Ning added.
