Conflict drags on, supplies dwindle: a war of resources begins
In the latest edition of the "Military Chronicle" segment on Baku TV, the conflict in the Middle East, whose active phase has now been ongoing for a second month, was analyzed.
It is noted that while the first weeks saw intensive aerial and missile warfare, it has now taken on the character of a prolonged strategic confrontation. In response to Iranian strikes with ballistic missiles and drones, the US and Israel have expanded the scale of air and missile attacks.
It is emphasized that the directions of attacks have changed: strikes are now being carried out not only against military bases but also against defense industry enterprises and strategic infrastructure facilities.
The video report states that the prolongation of the conflict brings the issue of weapons stockpile depletion to the forefront. In particular, the high consumption rate of Tomahawk, THAAD, and Patriot PAC-3 systems raises questions related to the resource capabilities of the war.
According to experts, the main focus is now on the likelihood of ground operations. The deployment of additional US manpower to the region could change the nature of the conflict. Along with this, behind-the-scenes ceasefire negotiations are still considered the primary factor for de-escalation.
