Azerbaijan expands joint military production with Turkey
In the new episode of the program "Military Chronicle" (Hərbi xronika) on Baku TV, a new stage of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey has been analyzed, in particular joint production in the defense industry and technology localization.
The report notes that the interaction has long gone beyond Azerbaijan simply purchasing Turkish-made weapons.
Today, real projects are being implemented to integrate defense enterprises of the two countries, transfer technologies, establish joint production, and create new enterprises. One of the most prominent areas is the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As part of the activities of the Baykar company at the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, work is underway on the production and improvement of such systems as Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı, and mini-UAVs. Joint production of electronic warfare (EW) systems and other unmanned systems is also on the agenda.
