The 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit has begun its work in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the office of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

It is noted that the leaders of the SCO member states are already at the "Yrys Ordo" Congress Hall to participate in the SCO Heads of State Summit.

The following leaders arrived to participate in the summit: President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The heads of state were welcomed by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

After the welcoming ceremony and group photo session, the heads of delegations proceeded to the conference hall to participate in the summit.
