The fate of Azerbaijanis from the vessel attacked in the Black Sea has been revealed - Official statement
All citizens of Azerbaijan who were aboard the vessel attacked off the coast of Romania have been rescued.
This was stated by the head of the press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizade, responding to journalists' questions.
According to him, on October 23, the foreign cargo vessel Khoryv, with Azerbaijani citizens on board, was attacked by a drone at a distance of 13 nautical miles from the Romanian port of Constanța.
"According to the information we received, all three of our citizens, who were part of the 13-member crew, were rescued. One of them - Rufan Khalig oglu Ahmadov (born in 1992) - sustained minor injuries, underwent a medical examination, and was accommodated in a hotel.
In connection with the incident, coordination work is being carried out jointly with our country's embassy in Romania and the relevant competent authorities. Necessary measures are being taken to provide consular support to our citizens.
Once again, we urge citizens of Azerbaijan to refrain from traveling to regions where military operations are underway and an unstable security situation persists, as well as from working in those territories and on vehicles traveling along dangerous routes, particularly on vessels in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov waters," the MFA representative stated.
