A 13-year-old boy was killed under the wheels of a tractor after failing to hear it because of music

The cause of the accident that occurred yesterday around 18:00 in the settlement of Hasanabad, Neftchala district, has been revealed.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Main Department of the State Traffic Police (MDSTP), the teenager was listening to music through a portable speaker that he was holding on his shoulder. According to the department, this was the cause of the tragedy.

At the intersection, the 13-year-old cyclist collided with the trailer of a "Belarus" tractor driven by F. Hasanov.

The teenager died at the scene.

"Unfortunately, statistical data also indicate that today, both within and outside populated areas, on highways, cases of gross violation of traffic rules by minors operating bicycles, scooters, and other two-wheeled vehicles are frequently recorded.

The Main Department of Traffic Police urges all road users to draw the right conclusions from this tragic incident, and in particular, urges minors to strictly observe safety rules when operating bicycles and other two-wheeled vehicles, and also especially emphasizes the crucial role of parental supervision in this matter!" the department's statement reads.
