Reza Deghati was injured during the riots in Paris

Renowned photojournalist Reza Deghati sustained a hand injury while covering protests in Paris.

As reported by BAKU.WS citing AZERTAJ, the photojournalist himself reported the incident.

"Due to the pain, I still cannot move my hand freely," he said.

According to Reza Deghati, he had never previously witnessed unrest of such scale.

"Stores of well-known brands were looted. In a sportswear and equipment store, practically nothing was left. Other nearby retail establishments also sustained damage.

French society demands that the government take measures to prevent such incidents. People want the participants of the unrest to be identified and held accountable in accordance with the law.

It was reported that minors were among the participants of the unrest. In this regard, the question of holding them accountable is being discussed. In addition, the damage caused by the riots must be assessed and measures must be taken to ensure that those responsible compensate for it," the photojournalist noted.
